Pastor Bob’s Profile

Bob was born and educated in the state of Washington. At Central Washington College in Ellensburg, his major was music. Subsequent college study included public administration and theology.  Growing up, he lived in Alaska, Idaho and Oregon. 
In 1965 he came to  California where he currently lives with his wife, Sharon. His family includes two grown children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

In the Army National Guard Band, Bob served as Band Sergeant and Assistant Band Master as well as a trumpet player. His love of music has led him to direct church choirs and perform vocally and instrumentally in worship for many years. He was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament by Valley Christian Center, San Dimas, California.

Bob’s life list of vocations is various: municipal government building and zoning enforcement; facilities construction and management for an electronics distribution company; manufacturing engineering, construction and facilities management for an elite outdoor furniture manufacturing company.

Since 1987, he has served as a chaplain in hospital, hospice, and residential living facilities. From 2004 through 2014 he served as pastor of St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Van Nuys, California
In 2008 he became a pastor for the Motion Picture and Television Fund retirement center in Woodland Hills, California. The Fund also serves members of the Motion Picture and Television industry at large.
