Holiday Food Drive
The Kirk sponsors a holiday food drive every year. Thanks to the efforts and the contributions of the Kirk, the Kirk Schools and many of our fellow Kirk community members such as the AA groups, we are able to provide food to over one hundred people for the holidays.

Mary Magdalene Project
The Mary Magdalene Project is a long term, holistic residential program dedicated to transforming the lives of street prostitutes by providing resources, support and hope. The primary care program includes a safe and secure family setting, development of life and social skills, food, clothing and all household needs, medical care with vision and dental, individual and group counseling, parenting and self-parenting classes, education, and career counseling and job training.
 
F.I.S.H. of West Valley
FISH is an emergency organization that helps people in crisis with food, clothing and housing. Our congregation and the Kirk School give extra support to FISH through food drives and by purchasing at retailers who donate through dollar for dollar FISH scrip.
When groceries are purchased with FISH scrip from participating stores, that store will donate a percentage of the purchase price to FISH.
 
A.C.A.C.
ACAC is the acronym for "Adopt a Child Abuse Caseworker". The Kirk works with child abuse case-workers of L.A. county childrens’ and family services to help provide clothing, toys and other assistance for children in crisis.
Our Outreach committee frequently contributes to help the over-burdened caseworkers who support parents and children in their effort to rebuild their lives.
Help can be in the form of cash contributions, purchase of a sleeping bag for a child to take to summer camp, even an entire household of furniture and clothing.

Haven Hills
Haven Hills provides shelter and assistance for battered women and children.
 
Other Activities:
The Outreach committee also contributes to several other local and global charitable organizations. Some of these are: Polio Survivors Fund (gives assistance to victims of polio), Sickle Cell & Caring for Babies with A.I.D.S. (provides money for research and care).
The Kirk O’ The Valley is part of the nationwide Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and regularly supports Presbyterian efforts on the international level through its contribution to the Presbyterian Mission Fund.
